The Waiting Station is the first and last thing every employee sees. Located at the facility's single accessible entrance, it serves as the orientation center for all new hires. The recruitment process is efficient: employees arrive, receive their uniforms and quota assignments, and begin their first shift immediately.
The station features a series of motivational posters displayed behind glass cases. Messages include "Productivity Is Freedom," "Auntie Loves a Hard Worker," and "Silence Is Safety." The posters have not been updated since 1962.
A PA system broadcasts continuous messages from Auntie_OS, interspersed with elevator music that has been described as "uncomfortably cheerful." The volume cannot be adjusted. The speakers cannot be located.
> ACCESS_CONTROLThe One-Way Door
The most notable feature of the Waiting Station is its door. The entrance to the production floor is a reinforced blast door that opens automatically when an employee approaches. It does not open from the other side.
Exit from the facility is only possible through the Sanitation Station's decontamination process, which requires clearance from a compliance officer. The average processing time for exit clearance is 47 days.
