The Blue Ribbon Tubes are the heart of Auntie Atom's production line. Spanning the entire eastern wing of the facility, the Tubes process raw enriched ingredients into the signature blue luminescent filling that defines the Blue Ribbon Special.
Each tube operates at temperatures exceeding 800°F, maintained by a series of reactor-adjacent heating elements that have been running continuously since 1955. Maintenance crews report that the tubes "hum" at a frequency that causes mild disorientation after prolonged exposure.
The enrichment process involves a proprietary blend of blueberry isotopes and facility-sourced catalysts. The exact recipe is known only to Auntie_OS, which dispenses ingredients through automated chutes. No human has seen the complete recipe and survived.

Workers assigned to the Blue Ribbon Tubes must wear heat-resistant suits rated for temperatures up to 1,200°F. The suits are effective for approximately 4 hours of continuous exposure, after which molecular degradation begins.
Employees are advised not to look directly into the tubes during the enrichment phase. The blue glow emitted during peak processing has been known to cause temporary vision changes, including the ability to see infrared light and an inexplicable awareness of being watched.
